Welcome, I'm Lanie...

I make collectable contempory and vintage style mohair bears from my home in England United Kingdom.

I just simply adore collectable bears.  :0)

I began making bears back in the 70s while studing  art & design. 

Each of my exclusive OOAK bears is carefully designed on paper, then made into prototypes, before spending hours of carefully hand stitching, filling and embroidering each new precious bear design to finally acheiving a completely new and unique teddy bear with heaps of personality...

Every bear I finish is very special to me as it is totally hand made with lots of attention to detail.

Although I do have various  ranges of bears that are constant in my collections, my new bear styles do vastly vary. This is to accomodate my rather overactive imagination, my creative juices constantly flow, I like nothing more than watching TV while drafting new ideas and patterns all at the same time...LOL...

I find designing new my bears is limited only by my own imagination and the stock of mohair I currently hold!  Teddy bears are the perfect compliment to porcelain dolls and adorn nicely many collectors cuboards, shelves and window sills.

I am proud to add my work has been published in Teddy Bear Scene Magazine.

My bears can range from 4 -29 inches tall. Each bear is one-of-a-kind.  All my bears are fully jointed and made of mohair with wool felt or ultrasuede paws, only the very best bear making materials with glass or shoebutton eyes, each bear has a handstitched nose.  My bears are occassionally dressed.  Often Airbrushed, hand painted, dyed and distressed using my own techniques. These are often used to bring out each bear's character. As such, my bears are meant solely for the adult collector to gently hug and hold. I try to make each bear an adult collector’s bear made to be proud of forever....
